My journey through AI software and technology development began four decades ago. After I completed a PhD in Aerospace Engineering, I began my career by developing complex software systems for several large aerospace and defense companies. Soon thereafter I led a research and development group at one of the first commercial AI companies, where we were among the earliest researchers to use vector embeddings for language modeling. Since then I founded and built a mobile software development company, led AI software development as a VP of Sofware and Principal Software Scientist for a smarthome technology company, and led AI software development as Chief Technology Officer of a mobile startup. Because my background spans academic research and industry developmnt, I've approached machine learning and AI development with both academic rigor and practical business sense. Over the years, I've architected enterprise solutions for major companies, guided startups through technical challenges that seemed insurmountable, and delivered custom AI systems that continue to generate value years after deployment.
